Michael Thorne

Michael graduated from university with a Bachelor of Arts and a diploma in education. Having taught at various high schools and worked in adult education for a number of years, he left education for the small business sector. With much pavement pounding, Sparx Media was established in 1998 and evolved as the internet blossomed.

Dee graduated from UCT with a Fine Arts degree and an HDE in 1994. She taught art and art history for 9 years and then took a few years off from formal employment when she had her children, enjoying various creative pursuits in her spare time. She joined Sparx Media on a part time basis in March 2007.

Based in Cape Town, Sparx Media CC represents South African art and artists. While giving individual artists broader exposure to local and international markets, we offer publishers, advertising agencies and art directors a diverse range of illustration styles and techniques.
